DAY 1 OF INTERVENTION: FOOD PARCELS AND HYGIENE KITS

Our emergency response started immediately to alleviate damage caused by the explosion in
Beirut. The second day after the blast, over 30 wholehearted RMF staff and volunteers in
collaboration with ‘Lebanon of Tomorrow’ NGO walked the demolished streets of Gemmayze-
Mar-Mikhael and Karantina in Beirut distributing food parcels and hygiene kits to over 100
families. The team tried to assess the needs of the survivors, to ensure them with the basic tools
to sustain personal health and safety. Furthermore, RMF is providing ongoing livelihood
assistance, such as food and hygiene kits, cash aid, hot meals and other necessities.
